Uncovering the secrets of Savathun’s throne world isn’t just something to do to pass the time in Destiny 2‘s latest expansion, The Witch Queen–it’s your overall goal. All the weird mysteries you solve uncover more of the story or provide resources and unlock new weapons. One of the secret objectives you can complete in the new location is to find several “Unique Lucent Moths,” which are small objects you can add to the cave near Fynch in the throne world, not unlike the hidden penguins that were part of the Beyond Light expansion.

Two new moths appear in the throne world each week, and while the game will give you hints as to where you can find them, it doesn’t tell you how. We’ve delved into the depths of Savathun’s realm to find the moths and retrieve them, and you can find everything you need to get them yourself in the guide below.

Week 2

Moth No. 3: Alluring Curtain

You can reach the Alluring Curtain by following the path along the edge of the fortress wall in the southeastern corner of Quagmire.

Spawn in at the Quagmire and head for the exit far to the east to reach Alluring Curtain. You’ll need to travel around the outside of the fortress, which is a path you’ll have taken if you’ve completed the “Of Queens and Worms” questline for the Parasite Exotic grenade launcher. The path is pretty straightforward, but there’s a fair amount of platforming to be done to get where you’re going. Keep watching for Deepsight nodes, as these will reveal platforms you can use to scale the big towers sticking out along the way. The first is next to a white Hive statue, and will reveal platforms on the tower just off the edge of the platform.

Keep going until you encounter a Hive Wizard called Ir Olena. Destroy it and the moth is your reward.

You’ll be following the path a long way, through several instances of platforming. Look for a courtyard with a fountain in the middle–this is your destination. When you arrive, you’ll find Lucent Hive to fight, including an elite Wizard named Ir Olena, Moth Keeper. You only need to kill the Wizard to make the moth appear; it’ll be on the ground wherever Ir Olena falls.

Moth No. 4: Temple of the Cunning

Use this portal to get to the Temple of the Wrathful.

The Temple of the Cunning is a location you visit during The Witch Queen’s story campaign. To get back to it, head to the Quagmire and then drive north into the cave-like area where the Scorn spawn, just west of the cliff and nearby Lost Sector. The path should take you downward in elevation and into some rocky tunnels, which then lead into some dark, rocky tunnels that you can illuminate by shooting glowing orange sacks of goo. At the end of that, you’ll reach some ruined underground structures filled with Scorn and find an orange portal.

Follow the path into the canyon on the left to reach the Temple of the Cunning.

Hop into that and you’ll emerge before a tall fortress built into the rock wall. If you played the campaign, you’ll remember that you go through the doorway ahead to reach the Temple of the Wrathful; instead of going into the fortress, hang a left and go around the outside of it.

Kill all the Scorn in this room and the moth will appear on the column to the left.

Keep moving along the path until you enter the structure on the other side of the bridge. Keep advancing; you’ll eventually come to a rock wall with light blasting out of it, which you can move through if you duck. You might remember this area as the one that precedes the temple proper, which you reach by dropping down a long fall and landing on a bridge. If you reach that drop, you’ve gone too far. Instead, look for a blueish room with a hanging chandelier of crystal lights and a round platform in the center, filled with Scorn enemies. Kill them all and the moth will appear on one of the columns in the center of the room.

Week 1

Moth No. 1: Quagmire

The green bubble shield on the wall hides the moth; kill all the Hive who spawn near it to reveal it.

The first Lucent Moth is the easiest to find. From Fynch’s location, set out east across the Quagmire section of the throne world toward the region’s Lost Sector. When you near the Lost Sector, which is itself close to a big cliff on the northern side of the region, turn and face back to the west. You’re looking for a tunnel that runs under the big hill ahead of you. As you enter the tunnel and approach the far end, a group of Lucent Hive will spawn in front of you, including a Wizard. Clear out all the enemies and look to the tunnel wall on the right, or western, side. You should see a green bubble that will dissipate when all the Lucent Hive enemies are destroyed. Behind the bubble waits your first “Independent Moth.”

Moth No. 2: Apothecary

To get the second moth, you’ll need Deepsight Resonance Tier 2, which you can earn from Fynch by leveling up your Throne World reputation rank. You’ll also need to make a long trip to the Apothecary, a section of Savathun’s fortress that you’ll enter during the “Of Queens and Worms” quest line. To get there, head to the Florescent Canal area and go to the north end, where you’ll find a gate to enter the section of the fortress called Queen’s Bailey.

Keep going through Queen’s Bailey until you find this big outside area that includes a central entrance to the Apothecary Wing, marked by a big staircase. The building you want is past it, to the left, seen here.

From here, the pathway is straightforward, so keep moving through Queen’s Bailey until you reach an outside area. This section will have a big entrance into the fortress at the top of a long flight of stairs in the center, which will be ahead of you and on the right as you move into the space. Ahead, you’ll see a stout, square building with enemies inside, with the same thing mirrored on the far side of the main entrance.

Activate the Deepsight and then destroy all five of the Witch Queen seals.

Go past the stairs to the other square structure. When you arrive, look for a Deepsight Resonance node on top of the turret and activate it. That’ll give you about 30 seconds to find and shoot five black, round seals that carry Savathun’s green Witch Queen insignia. They’re all scattered close around the square building, and you can find them by the low hum they give off. Here are the five insignias’ locations, if you’re standing on the small staircase leading up to it:

Inside the square building on the right wall

Outside of the building, on the back wall on the right sideOn the square pylon at the top of the stairs on the left sideOn the back side of the back-left pylon at the top of the stairsOutside the building on the left side from the stairs, just beside the doorway heading inThe moth will appear on top of this building, at the top of the stairs.

Destroy all five insignias before your Deepsight runs out and the moth will appear on top of the square building at the top of the small set of stairs.

The 2022 Major League Baseball season will not begin on schedule, as Major League Baseball owners and the Major League Baseball Players’ Association could not come to terms on a new labor deal. However, Sony’s MLB The Show 22 remains on schedule to be released in early April.

MLB and the players’ union did not reach a new collective bargaining deal after almost a year of contract negotiations. The deadline to come to terms was 5 PM ET today, and the two sides could not do that.

MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said in a press conference that some games will be canceled–the season was scheduled to begin on March 31. This is the first time MLB games have been canceled or delayed for a work stoppage since the 1994-1995 strike.

That year, 900 games were canceled, including the 1994 World Series. You can check out this New York Times story to learn more about the lockout, while the players’ union statement follows below.

As for MLB The Show 22, it’s poised to have the widest release in the history of the acclaimed series. In addition to coming to Xbox again this year by itself and through Xbox Game Pass. Sony is putting the former PlayStation exclusive on Switch as well.

GameSpot has contacted Sony in an attempt to get more details on what effect the MLB work stoppage might have on MLB The Show 22, if any. Keep checking back with GameSpot for more.

Turtle Rock Studios has announced that Back 4 Blood‘s first major expansion, Tunnels of Terror, will be released on April 12, while the studio also shared a huge new player number for the game.

So far, more than 10 million people have played Back 4 Blood, and it’s become 2021’s best-selling new IP for consoles, publisher Warner Bros. said. The game hasn’t necessarily sold that many copies, however, as Back 4 Blood is available through Xbox Game Pass. Still, it’s a very big number.

As for the Tunnels of Terror expansion, it’s included with Back 4 Blood’s Ultimate and Deluxe editions, as well as through the Annual Pass. Players can also pick it up by itself, though pricing was not confirmed. The Tunnels of Terror add-on adds the Ridden Hives PvE activity, new playable Cleaners and Ridden, and additional character and weapon cosmetics, among other things.

Ridden Hives has players teaming up to explore seven different dungeons that are overrun with enemies called Warped Ridden. The new Cleaners are called Sharice (and axe-wielding firefighter) and Heng (a “no-nonsense restauranteur”). Additionally, the ultra-difficult No Hope difficulty setting comes to Back 4 Blood alongside Tunnels of Terror, though it will be free and available to everyone.

Additionally, Turtle Rock confirmed that only one player in a party needs to have purchased Tunnels of Terror for everyone to play. The company also said there will be no microtransaction content of any type or shape added to Back 4 Blood in this new expansion.

Concerning the 10 million player milestone for Back 4 Blood, Turtle Rock boss Steve Goldstein said this is a “historic event” for the studio and the game.

Following the launch of Back 4 Blood in 2021, Turtle Rock was acquired by Tencent as part of the Chinese internet behemoth’s continued and growing expansion.

DICE has delayed Battlefield 2042‘s next big update–the one that includes a brand-new Scoreboard–until next week. In a forum post, DICE announced that the 3.3 patch (which was previously scheduled to arrive this week) was now delayed so that the team was “best positioned to support in case of any issues that might have cropped up over the weekend.”

Connected to this, DICE said Battlefield 2042’s already-paused Weekly Missions will remain on hold for this week. Next week’s 3.3 update will reintroduce them.

As for what’s in Battlefield 2042’s 3.3 update, it includes the “refreshed” Scoreboard UI, which is something fans had been asking for since launch last year. The new Scoreboard will show both deaths and kills, as well as a snapshot of how each team is performing and specifically the points leaders on each side.

“Thank you for your feedback and suggestions on this, it’s deeply appreciated by us all,” DICE said.

The lack of a fleshed-out Scoreboard at launch in 2021 was one of the loudest pieces of criticisms for Battlefield 2042 from fans. Players were left scratching their heads as to why such a Scoreboard wasn’t included when previous games had one.

Additionally, the 3.3 update for Battlefield 2042 will introduce the Steadfast Exclusive Legendary Bundle as a free reward for people who bought one of the game’s more expensive editions to make up for Season 1’s delay.

The 3.3 patch also includes “a small range of additional fixes,” and these and more will be shared next week when the full patch notes are released.

Battlefield 2042 failed to reach EA’s sales expectations, but it still finished 2021 as the fifth best-selling game overall in the US. EA management believes the game will succeed over the long run.

Despite releasing just three days ago, Steam Deck owners are already reporting serious hardware issues with their brand-new consoles, the most notable being joystick drift. Since February 25, two separate Reddit threads (here and here) have been created showcasing users with defective Steam Decks. In both instances, the console owners shared a video of their system’s right joystick experiencing substantial drift.

some people are already experiencing Steam Deck drift https://t.co/iQjLeEFJewhttps://t.co/18PYesa4hn pic.twitter.com/vVe4MgFtJo

— Wario64 (@Wario64) March 1, 2022

In the comments, the owners and several Reddit users have attempted to troubleshoot the issue. However, it seems the Steam Deck’s UI does not have an option to recalibrate the controls. Many have noted the problem might stem from a manufacturing issue with this particular batch of units, as reviews did not report issues with drift and all of the consoles just released to the public are a part of Steam’s “first quarter” launch. Several others urged the owners to contact Valve, Steam’s parent company, to either resolve the issue or replace the console. Neither of these users have reported the issues as resolved, though both have reportedly contacted the company seeking help for the issue.

However, some commenters were quick to suggest the owners merely replace the old joysticks with new ones. As the Steam Deck is a modular console, they are, reportedly, much simpler to repair than other handheld systems or controllers. However, if the issue ends up being a software issue rather than an apparent hardware one, this fix won’t actually resolve the issue. In addition, Valve has expressedly warned owners against tinkering with their Steam Decks, writing that doing so could “mess things up, like profoundly” and these actions should only be done if you “feel like taking big risks with your property, and with your life.”

Luckily the Steam Deck is purely modular, allowing you to swap in new joystick easily if one ever comes out to be faulty or develops drift. You can buy them from Valve and they’re easy to install. Nintendo and PlayStation need to get serious about right to repair like Valve pic.twitter.com/N73fG3Edfp

— Usama Javaid 🇵🇸 (@JavaidUsama) March 1, 2022

When the Steam Deck is fully operational, however, GameSpot’s Steam Deck review praises it as “a wonderfully constructed and powerful portable PC that can, in the right hands, be a lot more than what Valve envisions.” As of right now, Valve is still working on shipping out the Steam Deck’s first-quarter units. There is no scheduled launch date for the second wave of systems.

Valve’s handheld Steam Deck is arriving in the hands of eager fans now, and to celebrate Valve has released what it describes as a “free playable short” called Aperture Desk Job to walk users through the device’s various features.

Aperture Desk Job is available now for free on Steam, but note that it can’t be played with a mouse and keyboard. The game requires a controller, and, ideally, is made to be played on the Steam Deck. If the name Aperture is familiar, that’s because it’s the same fictional company featured in Valve’s Portal series.

What do you do, exactly, in Aperture Desk Job? Like at any good desk job, you sit. Players will take on the role of an “entry-level nobody” on their first day at the job, where they’ll be briefed on the Steam Deck’s controls and features, though Valve notes that it is not “nearly as boring as that sounds.”

As you might expect from a Portal-related project, everything about Aperture Desk Job is more than a little tongue-in-cheek, including the game’s description on Steam. Valve reminds players that this is not Portal 3 and to lower their expectations, while describing Aperture Desk Job as reimagining “the been-there-done-that genre of walking simulators” and putting “them in the lightning-spanked, endorphin-gorged world of sitting still behind things.” Valve also uses the game’s product page as an opportunity to pitch a screenplay about time-traveling identity theft, in case anyone out there in Hollywood might be interested.

Valve co-founder and president Gabe Newell recently signed and delivered Steam Decks to lucky customers living near the Valve offices, some of which seemed more than a little confused by the whole situation. GameSpot’s Steam Deck review said the handheld gaming device “delivers on its promise of high-performance mobile gaming with impressive game performance and intelligent hardware design.”

Ezio was long the face of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise during the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 era, making his first appearance in Assassin’s Creed 2 before starring in subsequent titles Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. He’s an important character in the franchise’s history and is still one of the most beloved characters in the series, making him a natural fit for the ever-expanding roster of guest video game characters that are playable in Fortnite.

There’s no word yet on when Ezio will officially be landing in Fortnite or how much the skin will cost, but expect official details soon. In other Fortnite skin news, tennis star Naomi Osaka will be arriving in-game starting March 3. During the MWC 2022 trade show in Barcelona, Lenovo unveiled the first laptop powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 chip, the ThinkPad X13s. Using a passively-cooled design, Lenovo is claiming that the ThinkPad X13s has a long battery life with up to 28 hours of video playback, as well as boasting plenty of wireless connectivity, including support for 5G mmWave, Wi-Fi 6E, and is all housed in a 90% recycled magnesium chassis.

Over the last couple of months, we’ve dedicated a number of column inches to Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3. It uses four Arm Cortex-X1 prime cores at 3.0 GHz, four smaller A78 efficiency cores operating at 2.4 GHz, and it also includes the company’s latest Adreno graphics.

The biggest challenge for Qualcomm with the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 and the Windows on Arm project has been application compatibility. Qualcomm has been working closely with Microsoft and software vendors to allow its Arm-based processors to work with x86 apps, and last year’s launch of Windows 11 added x86-64 application compatibility as well. So these days it’s less a matter of what will work on WoA laptops, and more about how quickly x86 applications will run.

Focusing on Lenovo’s big announcement at MWC 2022, it has launched several new notebooks for 2022, but all eyes are on the ThinkPad X13s. Lenovo, of course, is a large and respected name in the productivity laptop space, so their willingness (or unwillingness) to adopt new CPUs/SoCs is often a good barometer of overall OEM interest in new chips.

Aside from being the first consumer-based notebook powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 processor, the ThinkPad X13s has a wide variety of features for users on the go, both focusing on productivity and longevity, all housed inside a 0.53-inch thick frame.

A big talking point surrounds the battery life of the ThinkPad X13s, with Lenovo claiming an impressive 28-hours of usage between charges. While this sounds impressive on paper, the onus is on the types of workloads being used, with Lenovo quoting video playback figures with its 49.5-Wh Li-ion Polymer battery. It has dimensions of 11.76 x 13 x 0.53-inches (WxDxH), is constructed from 90% certified recycled magnesium, and weighs just 2.35 lbs making it ultra-portable and lightweight.

Lenovo offers the ThinkPad X13s with three different display types: an IPS AG 300-nit panel, an IPS touch AG 300-nit panel, and a low-power IPS AG display with 400-nits of brightness. All three display types include a 13.3-inch screen with an aspect ratio of 16:10 and an output resolution of 1920 x 1080p.

Housing within the central section of the top bezel, the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s can be equipped with two different webcams, one of which has 5MP RGB, while the other is a 5MP IR camera with support for Computer Vision presence detection. In terms of connectivity, the ThinkPad X13s has two USB 3.2 G2 Type-C ports, with one 3.5 mm audio jack and a SIM card slot. The SIM card slot allows users to access either 5G sub6 or 5G mmWave depending on the configuration. At the same time, Lenovo also offers users the choice of Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 6E wireless networking.
