Four years will have passed by the time that God of War Ragnarok arrives, and if your memory is feeling rusty, then you have two options for a refresh on all things Kratos. You can either read, or you can cut out the heavy mental lifting and watch a story recap instead.

Sony is offering both of those options for anyone looking to find out about what went down in 2018’s God of War game, so if you’re in the mood for some reading, you can click here and visit the PS Blog for a text-based recap. Option B is more exciting, as it features a storybook format hosted by Felicia Day and the severed head of Mimir. You can watch the Myths of Midgard video below, but naturally, there are spoilers ahead. If you’re looking to simply play God of War before its sequel arrives, the game is available on PS Plus Extra and Premium for PS5 and PS4, the PS5’s PS Plus Collection library, and can also be purchased on PC.

God of War: Ragnarok arrives on PS5 and PS4 on November 9, and continues the Nordic tale of Kratos and his son Atreus. Sony recently shared some new details on God of War Ragnarok’s story, revealing that Kratos and Atreus will visit all Nine Realms of Asgard as they prepare for the prophesized twilight of the gods. Atreus will have a more personal stake in the adventure as he seeks out more knowledge regarding his future as the trickster god Loki, with the direct sequel wrapping up the Norse chapter of the series.

We’re at the start of a new week and that can only mean one thing: a fresh Wordle guide. We’re back with more Wordle answers after the weekend. Today, August 15, brings a fairly common word for the answer, but players can certainly still struggle to guess the word. In order to help any players that are struggling to formulate guesses, we have a list of hints, and even the full answer to the August 15 Wordle.

I personally was able to guess this answer by going with one of our recommended starting words, and then going with a couple more words to get four letters, some of which were in the right spot. From there, I plugged in a word that made sense with the letters and structure I had, and it turned out to be the right answer. For players that might not get that lucky with their guesses, we have a couple of hints to get your mind on the right track. We also have the full answer further down for players that simply want to move on from today’s Wordle.

Today’s Wordle Answer – August 15, 2022

We’ll begin with two hints that will help players get on the right line of thinking for their guesses. The hints might give away the answer to some players, and others might have to read the full answer below the hints.

Hint 1: This word is a game that has several different versions, most of which are playable in Las Vegas.Hint 2: You can play this game at a table in a bar in Red Dead Redemption 2.

If those hints weren’t able to tip the scales in your favor, then we have the full answer all loaded up for you. The full answer to the Aug. 15 Wordle is… “poker.” The “k” in the word might trip some players up, as there are some other letters that could easily replace it, but aren’t the right answers. That might trip some players up, but hopefully, players kept their streak intact with today’s hints. Check back tomorrow for another edition of our Wordle guides.

Genshin Impact’s version 3.0 update, The Morn A Thousand Roses Brings, will go live on August 24. Developer HoYoverse says that this update will add new characters and quests in the Sumeru region, which has expansive rainforest, desert, and city sections.

The big gameplay edition will be the Dendro element, the seventh and final piece in Genshin Impact’s elemental system. According to the developer, Dendro can trigger burning, bloom, and catalyze reactions when used with pyro, hydro, and electro elements respectively, with more advanced combinations also available.

As for the Sumero region, the rainforest features plants and creatures with dendro characteristics and monsters can switch between different states or attack sequences on the fly. You can expect Shroom-kin to be dominant here and a new boss enemy, the Jadeplume Terrorshroom, definitely won’t be a fun guy to tangle with. Another new Boss enemy is the Electro Regisvine, which lurks deep within the rainforest.

Dendro characters will be added to the roster of playable ones and include five-star character Tighnari, a researcher who can do charged attack and elemental burst damage over multiple phases, and Tighnari’s protege Collei, a four-star character who can obtained by completing the Graven Innocence seasonal event.

Genshin Impact: The Morn A Thousand Roses Brings

You’ll also be able to unlock the four-star Electro support character Dori, an elusive merchant in Sumeru who wields a claymore. All three characters will be available in the Event Wishes during the early half of the update and three new tools–the Boon of the Elder Tree, Ultra-Hot Burner Lamp Test Model, and Fishing Line Stabilizer–can be earned in the 3.0 update.

If you’re running the current version of Genshin Impact and looking for some excellent firepower, you can check out GameSpot’s Yoimiya guide to see what the pyromancer has to offer. Genshin Impact is a free-to-play game that is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Android, and iOS mobile devices. Developer HoYoverse is also working on a new sci-fi game called Zenless Zone Zero, which began fine-tuning tests earlier this month.

A new trailer for AEW: Fight Forever has been revealed by THQ Nordic, showcasing a brief slice of gameplay and a few of the odd minigames that players can take part in. Presented by AEW commentator Tony Shiavone and former AEW Women’s champion Dr. Britt Baker (DMD), the core gameplay showed off some of the attacks that players will be able to pull off.

If regular head-stomps and mouth-hook submissions aren’t enough, you’ll also be able to whip steel chairs, trashcans, and baseball bats to help you wear down your opponent long enough for the referee to count to three.

Beyond that standard match setup, you can play a dancing minigame where you guide several wrestlers in the ring using button prompts and a baseball minigame that turns one of the AEW performers into a giant ball that you can hit out of the stadium.

First announced back in 2020, AEW: Fight Forever is being helmed by former WWE game developer Yuke’s. THQ Nordic didn’t confirm a release date for AEW: Fight Forever, but it did mention that it’s “coming soon” in the trailer.

On the other side of the wrestling video game landscape, Take-Two Interactive confirmed in its quarterly earnings report that WWE 2K23 was in development, alongside other projects such as GTA 6, NBA 2K23, and Kerbal Space Program 2.

AEW: Fight Forever will have a career mode, wrestler customization, signature AEW arenas, and multiple match types when it launches, including traditional singles bouts, the Casino Battle Royale, and an Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch option. It’ll be launching off the top rope and onto Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Just about every week brings something new to Destiny 2, whether it’s story beats, new activities, or interesting new combinations of elements that let players devastate each other in the Crucible. Iron Banter is our weekly look at what’s going on in the world of Destiny and a rundown of what’s drawing our attention across the solar system.

Solstice is probably my least favorite of Destiny 2’s annual events. The summertime celebration originally kicked off alongside the Moments of Triumph, marking the end of a Destiny year and helping players commemorate all the cool stuff they’d done with a nice set of glowing armor to boot–but it tended to be a heavily grindy event that lacked the fun personality of Halloween’s Festival of the Lost or The Dawning of the holiday season. Solstice also tends to be an intense grind, and if there’s one thing I’m not a fan of in the Destiny games, it’s grinding content over and over.

For 2022, Bungie made some significant changes to Solstice, however. It altered the way its special event armor works, adjusted the special EAZ location and the events that take place there, and introduced a new “Event Card” system, both for ticking off objectives and for earning premium rewards as part of the event. Solstice looks very different in 2022, and now that it’s over, we can take a look at the three-week summertime celebration to run down what worked, what didn’t, and what we might expect from additional annual events as Destiny 2 goes forward.

The improvements

Overall, my impression of this year’s Solstice was that Bungie identified some significant problems that hold the event back and addressed them to make it better. The biggest and most important of them: Solstice armor.

Armor earned during the Solstice event is always special. It has its own unique design and can take on “glows” that give it a unique, incandescent look. The thing about Solstice armor, however, is that it takes a lot of work to make. The entire celebration event is usually about putting in the work to upgrade your Solstice armor from low-level, common gear to high-level Legendary stuff. Most of the time, that grind is about the glow at the end–although generally, you have to pay extra to achieve the coolest looks. This year, however, Solstice armor was made a lot better through Bungie’s continued improvements to gear-targeting systems.

The ability to tune your Solstice armor to your personal specifications almost makes the grind worth it.

With the Candescent armor you could earn in this year’s Solstice, eventually, you could tune each gear piece with the specific stats you wanted. The system allowed you to pick one stat with a “spark” that guaranteed it to have at least 20 points invested in it–a pretty significant number, since a single stat for legendary-type armor tops out at 30. In addition to that, with the Ghost mod system that allows you to generally target armor toward a specific stat, you could further tune your Solstice armor in a different direction, with the Ghost mod guaranteeing 10 points in a different stat from your spark. That meant you could get a guarantee of 20 Resilience, along with a guarantee of 10 Discipline, for instance, with randomness contributing the rest of your gear’s numbers to a possible total of 68. With lots of Solstice armor dropping throughout the event, that meant players had pretty good chances of making pretty close to exactly the kind of armor they wanted during Solstice.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that the armor system this year was a major improvement for Solstice. It made the whole event feel very worthwhile by providing what is basically the best gear-tuning opportunity in the game. Even if you weren’t particularly keen on Solstice’s activities, it was worth it to engage with the event for the cool armor. Worthwhile rewards are always a big plus in Destiny 2, and Solstice dished them out.

It did so similarly by adding a new weapon to the game, the hand cannon Something New, which carried a new special trait called Dream Work that rewards you for working closely with teammates. The trait was bugged for a bit, making it very special, but even without that add-on, Something New feels special (as does Compass Rose, a shotgun that was reworked for this Solstice). Bungie is making very good use of the new Origin Trait system, especially as seen here: Something New is a gun that comes from exactly one source, with a unique element that makes it feel special. It’s another good reason to jump into Solstice.

Bungie did away with the old EAZ event, which had players chasing down hidden treasure chests after fighting waves of enemies, in favor of a new activity called Bonfire Bash. Generally, I was a fan; it’s not especially different from the old EAZ, still requiring killing waves of enemies, but at least it freshened things up a bit and didn’t require running around the map to find those treasure chests at the end. Overall, the EAZ still gets stale in a hurry (more on that in a bit), but Bonfire feels like a better version of what we’ve played in the space before, at the very least.

Adjustments to the EAZ make it more fun than in the past, but it still gets stale in a hurry.

Finally, the Event Card system is a pretty decent one. It puts all your objectives for the event in one place, and if you want to spend a few bucks to upgrade it, it dishes out some premium cosmetic rewards as well–without adjusting how Solstice plays in basically any way. The Event Card system is a good one for keeping things organized, although it’d be nice to see some better rewards, as I’m not sure anyone really cares about Ghost projections or transmat effects, but maybe that’s just me. It’s a minor addition, but a useful one, in any case.

The drawbacks

Solstice saw a lot of improvements this year, but its major drawback remained: it’s a grind, and not an especially fun one. As usual, it takes a lot of work to improve your Solstice armor to its best possible levels. Not only did you have to play a large number of competitive matches and a whole lot of Bonfire Bash, but you had to mess around with a lot of public events and playlist activities. It wasn’t as grindy as in past years, but it was still a significant grind, when Destiny 2 has, in a general sense, moved away from lengthy requirements for making numbers go up to generally more meaningful engagement (although the infernal grind persists, for sure).

I’ll say that the work to get your armor up to its best levels wasn’t nearly as annoying as in last years, which included requirements like raid or dungeon completions–which aren’t a high bar for some players, but which can be extremely frustrating for others. The worst of it this year was probably the 25 competitive matches played requirement for either Crucible or Gambit. It didn’t help that boosted progress for alternate characters was broken for most of the event. Still, though, 25 matches is a lot to ask of anyone, period. I’d like to see Bungie find ways of making these requirements feel more meaningful, maybe by tying some light story elements to them so it feels like you’re seeking out pieces of armor from around the Solar System, or doing something to pay homage to the triumphs Solstice is meant to celebrate. Regardless, the armor grind is an annoying one, and once I’d finished on my Titan character, which took me about half the event to complete, I gave up for the rest of Solstice and abandoned my alts to their non-glowy fates.

Bonfire Bash, too, suffers the same fate as previous EAZ events. It’s fine for a bit, but not terribly challenging or interesting. Of course, we have to take into account that annual events like these are designed for wide engagement among the player base, and are therefore kept casual, and I think the adjustments this year made Bonfire Bash less of an irritation than it had been in past iterations. But you still end up playing it a ton, and it’s basically the same every time.

The Event Card system is useful for keeping the event organized, but it could stand some better rewards.

There’s potential in the EAZ as a space–it’s more vertical than maybe anywhere else in Destiny 2, and navigating in three dimensions to complete the event is a cool idea. New environmental items to launch you around are also really useful. But the event itself doesn’t use the space in a way that adds much to it. Mostly, the tall buildings and distant floating islands are just annoyances in your way as you try to race to the next thing to kill, so you can finish the event as quickly as possible. That’s also a function of the grind, really, because everyone wants to knock out Bonfire Bash as fast as they can, since they have to complete so many of them. It makes the event feel like a chore, but even if you weren’t sprinting through it, once you’ve done four or five runs, they’re all pretty much the same. And that makes it tough to stay engaged with Solstice for the entire three weeks.

The verdict

I’m pro-Solstice 2022, at least in the frame of the other Solstice events. Generally, it was a major improvement. The issues that make Solstice one of the weaker annual events persist, however. Though Bungie added some really great premium cosmetic items to the event this year, of which I bought several, it still feels like Solstice lacks personality compared to the other events.

The worst element, however, remains the grind. I’m glad Solstice armor was improved to the point that it felt like it was worth chasing, but it still required a high degree of effort to earn–and not the fun kind of effort, like taking on a challenge and defeating it, but the annoying kind of effort, like running 25 Gambit matches just to get them done. For me, I think the answer is either to decrease the grind, which feels like a general mandate for Destiny 2 overall these days, or to enhance Solstice armor even more, so that the reward feels commensurate to the work involved in earning it. Solstice 2022 definitely got closer to that balance, but it’s still not enough to elevate Solstice among Destiny’s other annual events.

What’d you think of Solstice this year? Did you like the changes? What would you like to see Bungie do with it in the future? Am I completely wrong about it? Let me know what you think in the comments below.

THQ has revealed more information about its upcoming project SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake during its 2022 games showcase. SpongeBob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake is a “spiritual sequel” to Battle For Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated, which was released in 2020.

The Cosmic Shake will be a 3D platformer with themes focused on the worlds, costumes, and banter between SpongeBob and Patrick. Players will travel throughout different periods, such as the Wild West, Prehistoric, and more, while Patrick accompanies you as a small balloon.

In SpongeBob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake, SpongeBob messes with the fabric of the universe while playing with a vial of wish-fulfilling Mermaid’s Tears. Because of that, Patrick is turned into a balloon. This sends SpongeBob on an adventure across time to fix his mistakes and restore Bikini Bottom.

In Battle For Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated, players were able to play as SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy. But, The Cosmic Shake will only have SpongeBob as a playable character, so THQ gave him more abilities, such as a flying karate kick or being able to roll around on big rocks. In addition, players will also have the opportunity to unlock classic costumes for SpongeBob too.

SpongeBob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake currently does not have a release date. But it’s expected to launch on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

THQ Nordic rounded out its showcase on August 12 by ever so slightly teasing a new South Park game in the works.

The tease consisted of the South Park Digital Studios logo and a sound byte of fan-favorite character Randy Marsh during a particularly… high-pressure moment, before saying “It’s coming.” Let’s just say that it’s a safe bet this new game will have a sufficient amount of toilet humor for returning South Park fans.

The announcement comes long after THQ initially lost the publishing rights to South Park: The Stick of Truth in a sale to Ubisoft back when it filed for bankruptcy in 2013. The publisher subsequently went under before the trademark for its name was bought by Nordic Games, and the brand was seemingly revived. In a way, this new South Park game is a real full-circle moment.

Little else is known about the game at the time, including its title, release date, what studio will be working on it, or even what genre of game it’ll be, considering the most-recent South Park games have been RPGs. After acquiring the publishing rights to South Park: The Stick of Truth, which was developed by Microsoft-owned Obsidian Entertainment, Ubisoft released the game in 2014 and followed it up with its own internally developed sequel, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, in 2017. Since then, there has been little in the way of news about South Park games, despite their popularity.

Elsewhere in its showcase, THQ Nordic also unveiled a reboot of the survival horror series Alone in the Dark and the brand-new Wreckreation, an open-world racing game that dares to combine Burnout Paradise and Trackmania into one package.

The rumors were true: a new Alone in the Dark is coming, returning the series all the way back to its 1992 roots, revisiting a game that helped give birth to the survival horror genre. THQ Nordic announced the reboot during its 2022 game showcase, providing an early look at the third-person psychological horror title.

THQ gave GameSpot an early hands-off look at Alone in the Dark, which it calls a “reimagining” of and a love letter to the original. As such, it features a lot of elements from the 1992 title, including its setting, Derceto Manor, and its two main playable characters: private detective Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood. While you’ll choose which character to play at the start of the game, both are an essential part of the story. Like other survival horror classics such as Resident Evil, however, Edward and Emily’s stories aren’t exactly the same, so to get the full picture of what happens in Alone in the Dark, you’ll need to play from each character’s perspective.

The trailer for Alone in the Dark gives a sense of developer Pieces Interactive’s focus for the game, which is set in the Gothic American South in the 1920s. As in the original, the game centers on the mansion of Derceto Manor, but the place has been recast as a mental hospital for rich patients. As in the original game, the characters arrived looking for information about Jeremy Hartwood, but instead of trying to uncover details about the mansion owner’s suicide, they’re attempting to find him after Jeremy sent a strange letter to Emily. Derceto isn’t the only setting you’ll visit, either–there are additional locations that make up the game, including an alternate dimension world you’ll visit through portals and which seem to be full of monsters.

Combat is a major part of the game, and you’ll use both firearms and melee weapons to combat hideous creatures, fighting from an over-the-shoulder perspective similar to some of the later Resident Evil titles, such as Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6, and games like Dead Space. According to developers, a lot of times, you’ll be grabbing whatever’s close at hand to fight the creatures you face–though you’ll also sometimes have to rely on running away to survive.

Story is also a big component of the new Alone in the Dark, with Amnesia: The Dark Descent and SOMA writer Mikael Hedberg penning the reimagined version of the game’s tale. Hedberg said during THQ’s presentation to journalists that the story will be more active than the original; expect cinematic cutscenes and voiced dialogue, in addition to notes, letters, and other items you’ll find as you explore Derceto Manor and the rest of the world.

According to THQ, though the game will see you fighting monsters and occasionally running from threats, it’s taking a different tack than other survival horror games. While most games tend to focus on the terrifying elements of horror, Alone in the Dark is trying to explore other aspects of the feeling and genre. The dense, heavy atmosphere that was part of the original is also something developers are focusing on for this new game, for instance, and while you’ll definitely fight horrific creatures, combat might not be the main thrust of the game.

Alone in the Dark is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game has been in the works since late 2019, THQ Nordic said, and is currently right around an alpha state, but no release date has yet been set. A teaser featuring Grace, a returning character from Alone in the Dark 2, will be playable at Gamescom later this month.

THQ Nordic also announced some other brand new games, including a Burnout-like racer called Wreckreation, a management sim about making houses for aliens called Space for Sale, and a 1990s-style real-time strategy game called Tempest Rising.

As Call of Duty Season 4 Reloaded continues for Warzone and Vanguard, Treyarch continues to release Year 2 content for 2020’s Black Ops Cold War. The newest addition to the game is the Scythe, which is a new melee weapon that joins the most recently added UGR submachine gun. This Scythe can be used in both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, and here we walk you through all the ways you can unlock it.

How to unlock the Scythe

Black Ops Cold War’s Scythe melee weapon

The Scythe is described as a two-handed melee weapon that boasts a quick swing with a wide arc for deadly efficiency. If you want to reap your enemies with this scythe, there are a few different ways you can unlock Black Ops Cold War’s newest melee weapon.

Warzone

Challenge: Using a melee weapon, get two kills with Dead Silence in 15 different matches.

This will be best attempted in respawn playlists like Fortune’s Keep Resurgence mode. You’ll want to make sure you’re grabbing the Dead Silence field upgrades when you find them. 15 matches might feel like it takes forever, but just make sure you have a melee weapon in hand when you activate Dead Silence. Also, it’s important to remember you will not make progress toward the challenge if you leave the match early.

Black Ops Cold War MP

Challenge: Using a melee weapon, get two kills with Ninja or Dead Silence in 15 different matches.

This should be pretty easy to accomplish. Just pick your favorite melee weapon and pair it with Ninja or Dead Silence. Picking playlists with smaller maps like Nuketown 24/7 will likely help you get the challenge done quickly. Just remember, you will not make progress toward the challenge if you leave the match early.

Zombies

Challenge: Using a melee weapon, kill 200 enemies with Insta-Kill active.

This unlock challenge shouldn’t be too much of a grind if you’re a Zombies fan. Insta-Kills are pretty common Power-Up drops in Zombies. Multiplayer might be a bit faster, especially if you choose the small map playlists, but racking up melee kills with Insta-Kill should be fairly easy.

Store bundle

Death’s Approach bundle

Additionally, you can buy the Scythe’s weapon blueprint if you don’t want the hassle of doing the unlock challenge. The weapon can be purchased as part of the Death’s Approach bundle, which is a nine-item cosmetic pack themed around the blue bunny, Mister Peeks, from Zombies mode. This bundle includes the Blood Bunny legendary variant of the Scythe, two gun blueprints, a finishing move, a watch, a weapon charm, calling card, emblem, and gesture. You can grab the Death’s Approach bundle for 2,000 CoD points ($20).

Vanguard and Warzone recently added a colorful anime bundle to the shop, which includes an impressive weapon inspect animation that triggers music and dancing. If you’re looking for the best guns to use in your next match of Warzone, we have some recommended weapon loadouts for you to try.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight’s alpha is currently in full swing, and while major story points for the upcoming expansion have largely been kept under wraps, a newly datamined conversation points towards a fan-favorite character making a major sacrifice.

It’s important to note that the datamined conversation is lacking additional in-game context that could make exactly what’s happening more clear. Since it’s pulled from the alpha build of the game, it could also be incomplete or subject to change in some way. Still, many players aren’t exactly thrilled about what the conversation implies for the fate of a certain Alliance leader. Potential spoilers for Dragonflight are below.

The datamined dialogue (via Wowhead) is a conversation between Night Elf leaders Tyrande and Malfurion, arguably the Warcraft universe’s ultimate power couple. In it, Tyrande pleads for the return of the leader of the Green Dragonflight, Ysera, who was killed during the events of the Legion expansion and whose soul is currently trapped in the Shadowlands. The dialogue seems to imply that Malfurion will sacrifice his soul in exchange for Ysera’s, though exactly how this would work remains unclear. Below is a snippet of the dialogue in question:

Tyrande: Ysera, your flight needs you.Tyrande: We need you.Tyrande: Whatever the price may be for your return to Azeroth, name it.Malfurion: Tyrande…Tyrande: Tell us!Malfurion: It’s me.Malfurion: I must be the one to stay.Tyrande: What?Malfurion: Ysera knows this–though she would never ask it of me.Tyrande: No.Tyrande: We will find another way.Malfurion: When she gave her life for mine in Val’sharah, it was not her time.Malfurion: And now…the balance may be restored.

Tyrande pleads with Malfurion to stay and attempts to go with him, but he makes clear that the Night Elf people need Tyrande’s leadership. The conversation ends with Tyrande telling her husband “I will dream of the night we may truly rest…together.”

Malfurion, of course, is no stranger to taking a backseat for long periods of time. In Warcraft III, the leader of the druids had been asleep for thousands of years before being awoken by Tyrande to help battle against the Burning Legion. While he is among the most powerful mortals in all of Azeroth, he’s largely been on the sidelines of events in recent years, with Tyrande more often than not serving as the face of the Night Elf people.

It’s for that reason many fans, especially Night Elf players, are upset about Malfurion’s potential sacrifice, even if it’s not exactly clear whether the character is dying in some way or is simply being sent to the Shadowlands, from which he could theoretically return at some point. The Night Elves in general have had it rough for the past couple of expansions. Their home was burned down during Battle for Azeroth in a genocidal act of war that left them as refugees living in the Alliance capital of Stormwind. Though the Night Elves are looking to build a new world tree to call home, the creation of the seed for the tree required the (willing) sacrifice of many Night Elf souls. Now, Malfurion himself is being called on to offer himself up. Night Elves just can’t seem to catch a break.

If he is going to the Shadowlands, Malfurion isn’t the first major character to be trapped in the realms of death. Alliance leader Anduin remains in exile, presumably in the Shadowlands, and Sylvanas was sentenced to spend an undisclosed amount of time gathering up lost souls there as a way to atone for her various war crimes.

It’s just the latest tidbit from the Dragonflight alpha that has fans theorizing on where the story for Blizzard’s MMORPG is going next. Other conversations discovered in the alpha point towards the game’s story jumping forward a number of years.

Dragonflight is still on track to release before the end of the year, though Blizzard has not yet settled on a specific date. For more on Dragonflight, including the new Dracthyr race and Invoker class, check out our hands-on Dragonflight preview. In other news, a WoW mobile MMO in the works for more than three years has reportedly been canceled.
