After a massive GTA 6 leak saw pre-alpha footage circulate across the internet, two of the biggest Grand Theft Auto online communities have reportedly been instructed to remove any links to the content or risk being “obliterated” by Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive.

GTAForums (via Tom Henderson) and the Grand Theft Auto 6 subreddit page both posted messages informing users that the sites had begun complying with Take-Two. “We have been contacted by Take-Two Interactive to take down copyrighted material from GTAForums,” the GTAForums post reads. “As usual with previous games, we will be complying and this topic will be re-opened in due course. Thanks for understanding.”

Take Two has requested has the GTAforum remove the thread containing the leaked information. In addition, the hackers account now has 0 posts that are live.

Several Twitter accounts appearing to be the hacker have also popped up, but all seem to be impersonators. pic.twitter.com/6Zxb235miz

— Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) September 19, 2022

The original thread has been restored, but the list of gameplay videos and images have all been removed and the page is now locked, with a message at the top reading “all sensitive media in this thread has been hidden and the thread has been made public again for archival reasons.”

The entire /r/GTA6 subreddit on Reddit was briefly taken offline, but is now back and has a warning at the top of the page warning users that any reuploads will result in a severe response from Take-Two. “We are opening the subreddit with a condition that no one can post links, photos, and videos of recent leaks,” the subreddit warning explained. “This is done so to protect the subreddit from getting obliterated by Rockstar Games.”

Rockstar Games has officially responded to the GTA 6 leak, saying that it “suffered a network intrusion” that allowed an “unauthorized third party” to gain illegal access to its assets. Development on GTA 6 will continue as planned and the studio is aiming to release a game that will exceed expectations.

One of the lengthiest side quests in Grand Theft Auto V is called “Far Out.” This Strangers and Freaks quest becomes available for Franklin right after the mission called “Fame or Shame,” which is for Michael. After this mission is complete, a question mark for Franklin will appear in Sandy Shores. At this location is Omega, a prophet for the arrival of aliens on earth. Omega inexplicably believes that alien spaceship parts have been scattered around Los Santos and it’s up to you to find them for him.

As it turns out, he’s right…maybe. In total, there are 50 spaceship parts that you need to find and pick up in order to complete this mission. If you’re looking to 100% the story mode of GTA V, then this quest is an essential part of that journey. Completing this mission is also a source of pride for players, as it’s one of the most difficult in the entire game. For a full guide on the locations of the parts, check out the list below.

Details about and footage of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 6, the highly anticipated sequel to one of the best-selling games of all time, leaked over the weekend. Someone, by some means, obtained what was believed to be a trove of assets for the game in one of the biggest gaming leaks in recent memory. Developers from across the industry have reacted to the fallout, sharing sympathy for the developers at Rockstar.

Xbox’s Sarah Bond, for example, said she feels for the team after their hard work was “revealed and critiqued before it’s ready.”

My thoughts are with the team at @RockstarGames 💚It can be disheartening to have a project you’ve worked hard on to delight fans revealed and critiqued before it’s ready. I know they’re creating something special and can’t wait to experience GTA6 when it’s officially unveiled.

— BondSarahBond🎮 (@BondSarah_Bond) September 18, 2022

Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann, meanwhile, said the recent GTA 6 leak will eventually become only a “footnote on a Wikipedia page.” Druckmann is, of course, no stranger to a big leak, with details and footage about The Last of Us: Part II, including a massive spoiler, emerging before the game was officially released in 2020.

To my fellow devs out there affected by the latest leak, know that while it feels overwhelming right now, it’ll pass. One day we’ll be playing your game, appreciating your craft, and the leaks will be relegated to a footnote on a Wikipedia page. Keep pushing. Keep making art. ♥️

— Neil Druckmann (@Neil_Druckmann) September 18, 2022

Rami Ismail, who worked at Ridiculous Fishing studio Vlambeer and is now a consultant, said the GTA 6 leak highlights a wider trend in the gaming space where developers purposefully choose to keep quiet and not show their games before they are ready. Many people reacted negatively to the GTA 6 leak, saying the footage didn’t look very good and wasn’t a big enough leap from GTA 5 to get excited about. What people might have seen in the leak is probably very out of date and not representative of the game currently or what it may look like at launch. The games industry’s penchant for secrecy might be attributable in part to a lack of understanding and appreciation for how game development actually works, developers have said.

“The reason developers aren’t more transparent is because it tends to end up with a significant amount of death threats & harassment,” Ismail said. “Devs don’t have an obsession with secrecy, we just prefer our job without being told we suck at it & should be maimed because of some placeholders.”

The GTA 6 leak seemingly corroborated reports that the game is set in Vice City and will feature a Bonnie & Clyde-inspired heist story. Following the emergence of the leak, Rockstar owner Take-Two filed DMCA requests to remove footage from the internet. Additionally, the forum that originally hosted the leak, GTAForums, has removed the post at the request of Take-Two.

Rockstar Games responded to the leak, saying it was the result of a “network intrusion” from an “unauthorized third party.” Rockstar said the intrusion was illegal, so lawsuits and other legal proceedings may be coming.

Despite the intrusion, Rockstar said there shouldn’t be any “long-term effect” on its ongoing projects, including GTA 6. Rockstar further stated that it is “extremely disappointed” that the leak happened, but it remains committed to making the game something that exceeds expectations.

Rockstar Games has confirmed the next GTA is in production, saying in February this year that development was “well underway.” Take-Two management believes the game will set “new creative benchmarks” for the series. A release date hasn’t been announced yet, but GTA 6–or whatever it ends up being called–is not expected to be released soon.

Bandai Namco has announced that an open beta for Dragon Ball: The Breakers will be held this week. The game, which looks like a mix between Dead by Daylight and the iconic anime series, features a group of players working together to survive being destroyed by major Dragon Ball Z villains such as Frieza, Majin Buu, or Cell.

The Dragon Ball: The Breakers open beta on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC via Steam, and Switch will kick off on September 21 at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET and will end at 1 AM PT / 4 AM ET on September 25. During the beta, players can suit up as either Frieza or Cell, while survivors will have the option to wear the Oolong and Bulma skins.

Bandai Namco also uploaded a new trailer of one of the Raiders in the game, Majin Buu. Similar to his manga and anime counterpart, the video game version of this jolly pink menace loves candy, has multiple transformations, and will happily turn survivors into a sweet treat that he’ll consume. Those players can also dress up in a classic Dragon Ball Z skin, which is based on the farmer that encounters Goku’s brother Raditz at the start of the series.

Additionally, a future update to Dragon Ball: The Breakers will grant players the ability to receive Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 rewards based on their in-game achievements. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot players can also look forward to a PS5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrade as well as a second season of DLC story expansions.

A massive trove of Grand Theft Auto VI assets, including pre-alpha footage and multiple screenshots, were released to public forums early Sunday morning.

The assets were reportedly taken from Rockstar’s servers by a single hacker calling themselves “teapotuberhacker,” who also claims to have “GTA 5 and 6 source code and assets” as well as a “GTA 6 test build.”

Not that there was much doubt, but I’ve confirmed with Rockstar sources that this weekend’s massive Grand Theft Auto VI leak is indeed real. The footage is early and unfinished, of course. This is one of the biggest leaks in video game history and a nightmare for Rockstar Games

— Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier) September 18, 2022

The videos include footage of a female protagonist walking through a strip club–which would be a first for the franchise–as well as a male character shooting what looks to be an AK-47 at passing police cars. In another video, both characters are shown working together as they rob a diner.

The leaks first surfaced on GTAForums, with the hacker allegedly searching the source code for anything other members requested. For example, one of the requests was any reference to an ongoing court case involving Take-Two, with the request allegedly made by one of the defendants in that case.

GTA 6 gameplay leak. Seems very VERY legit. pic.twitter.com/tZjpfA1M2T

— Mars (@Mars69lol) September 18, 2022

After news spread throughout social media, the hacker updated their original post, directing any employees of Rockstar or Take-Two Interactive to contact them via email, as they were “looking to negotiate a deal.”

Grand Theft Auto VI was confirmed to be in active development by Rockstar back in February, at the end of a blog post on the company’s official website. Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has not officially commented on the leak as of this writing.

Fortnite‘s quite long summer season has finally come to an end, and Chapter 3, Season 4, dubbed Paradise, is infecting the island with a physics-defying chrome substance. But while some things are always changing, there’s one thing you can always count on: powerful Exotic and Mythic weapons that you can buy from an NPC or take by force from a boss enemy.

Right now, at the start of this season, there are three returning exotic weapons that you can purchase from characters who are scattered around the map, one returning exotic healing item, and a brand-new type of mythic weapon that drops from the Herald, this season’s new big bad who has set up shop in a big ole chrome castle.

Don’t expect to be able to get them all in the same round, of course. These vendors are not set up anywhere near each other on the island, and it would take some truly wild luck with the circle and/or a serious commitment to making the rounds to pull it off. So think of this more as general info to keep in your head while you’re roaming around, so you know when you’re near a vendor selling the exotic you want.

Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4 Exotics and Mythics

Below you’ll find a list of the available exotics and mythics, where to find them, and how much you’re gonna have to pay. Hope you weren’t too spoiled by the half-price sale during Bargain Bin Week!

Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4 is here, which means you have a whole new cast of characters to meet and greet at various named locations and landmarks alike. Meeting Fortnite NPCs is an important part of each season, because they not only gift you free stuff just for talking to them, but they also sell goods, such as weapons and throwables, or services, such as allowing you to instantly redeploy from a rift or even hire them as bodyguards. Naturally, knowing all Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4 NPC locations is tough work, but we’re actively locating them as quickly as we can. Here’s everyone we’ve found so far.

Fortnite NPC locations – Chapter 3, Season 4

There are 22 NPCs found around the island in Fortnite currently, though this number tends to rise as the season goes on and new characters join the fray. Below we’ve included a list naming the spots where you’ll find each numbered NPC. We’ll also include a marked-up map, once we’ve found them all, identifying the exact location for those times when you don’t know a place by name.

If you’ve ever come across vaults in Fortnite, you’ve probably noticed they’ve historically required you and some friends to stand still and be scanned in order to access the goodies inside. Well, all of that has changed with the introduction of keys in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4, which will now have to be collected before being able to open vaults. The vaults are stacked with much better loot this time around, but they’ll take some searching on your part. Here’s how to get vault keys in Fortnite, and then of course, how to use them, too.

Where to find keys in Fortnite

Fortnite keys are found as randomized loot, which can be good or bad. It means you won’t need to head to specific places and fight over these much sought-after keys, but it also means there’s no surefire way to find them in any round. We found our first key as floor loot near the suddenly barren Reality Tree. In any case, whenever you find a randomized key, you’ll be onto phase two: knowing what to do with it.

Fortnite vaults and how to use keys

As soon as you find a key, your map will update with several lock symbols around the island. These represent the locations of vaults. You can head to any of them, but note the number of keys it’ll require you have. A lock icon with one keyhole means you’ll just need a single key, but some vaults need more than that and are labeled as such on your map.

The number of keys you’re holding at any point is listed on the right of the game’s UI, near your inventory. Strangely, right now it seems like using a key puts it back in your inventory after, meaning you could, in theory, run from vault to vault opening several of them with the same key or keys. It’s unclear whether this is intentional or part of season launch bug that’ll be patched soon, but we’ll update once we know more.

You can’t see vault locations until you have a key in your inventory.

In either case, the vaults that need multiple keys to unlock have even better loot than the single-key vaults, but even those single-key vaults are full of great stuff. We’ve found three rare chests, a ton of ammo, kegs of Slurp Juice, and more in each of them we’ve opened so far, so these vaults are clearly better than last season’s vaults, which tended to give out a handful of rare-tier loot rather than the legendary stuff they’re now handing out.

Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4 has unleashed a flurry of exciting new locations to explore, mechanics to try out, and items to experiment with. But the main thing you’ll be using in the game’s battle royale experience is the deadly arsenal of weapons, and as usual, this season has changed things up in that department, too. We’ve compiled a list of all of the weapons that have been vaulted this season, as well as a list of which weapons have been unvaulted or freshly added to the game. Here’s a round up of new weapons in Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4.

New weapons in Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4

Though we’ll surely see more guns introduced and unvaulted as the season goes on, Chapter 3, Season 4 opens with two new weapons for you to get your hands on:

EvoChrome ShotgunEvoChrome Burst Rifle

Both of these guns are truly unique to the game, as they level up in rarity as you deal damage with them. They’ll start off at Uncommon rarity, but the more you hit your opponents, the better they’ll get–all the way up to Mythic. This is certain to be a high risk, high reward option for competitive players looking to make the most of their arsenal.

Returning and vaulted weapons in Season 4

It’s not all about the new weapons. Like every season of Fortnite, some weapons have been vaulted and others are making their return from previous seasons. Here’s what you need to know about which guns have left the loot pool and which have been unvaulted.

Streamer and content creator Ali “SypherPK” Hassan will be the latest Fortnite-related personality to put his own digital skin in the game when his Icon Series outfit and accessories hit the Fortnite Item Shop next week. SypherPK getting his own set of cosmetics puts him in rarified air, joining the likes of Kathleen “Loserfruit” Belsten, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, and most recently Maria “Chica” Lopez in Fortnite’s Icon Series.

Like the other content creator sets, SypherPK’s will feature his outfit, the Oni’s Curse back bling, Sypher’s Scimitar pickaxe, and the Sypher’s Strut emote. You’ll be able to grab them separately or in a bundle when they arrive in the item shop at 8pm ET on September 22.

SypherPK’s Fortnite skin changes as you tally elims.

The outfit is rather robust in terms of features, coming with a default style that’s essentially just SypherPK in real life along with both reactive and non-reactive ghostly styles. With the reactive style, he gets more ghostly with each kill. If you’re familiar with the Marigold skin’s reactive gold style, then you more or less get it. The outfit also has a masked option, and the accessories will have the same basic style options as the outfit, so you’ll be able to keep them coordinated.

SypherPK Icon Cup

As is standard when Epic introduces new Icon sets, there’ll be a tournament before the set lands in the Item Shop that will give you a chance to win the outfit and back bling for free. And there’s actually a bonus way to earn that skin this time, plus a free wrap, as shown below.

By watching @SypherPK‘s Twitch Stream for 1 hour between September 18th and 22nd, you can earn the drop for his Dark Dragon Icon Series animated wrap! pic.twitter.com/XVRi4T6FaN

— FNAssist – News & Leaks (@FN_Assist) September 17, 2022

The SypherPK Icon Cup–a zero-build duos tournament–will take place September 21, and top performers, by placement and kills, in each region will get the skin, as usual. But this tourney will also include an alternate leaderboard for kills with a new device called the SypherPK Trap Tower. Top placements there will also get you the outfit and back bling. So that’s neat.

And on top of all that, SypherPK’s team has put together a new Creative map called PIT Island, which will be available as soon as Fortnite’s Chapter 3, Season 4 kicks off. On this map, you’ll be able to chill in the oasis social hub or, of course, shoot people in the free-for-all PvP zone. If you complete the zone’s quests then you’ll earn the Oni Ascension loading screen and the Sypher Is Here spray. Honestly, the loading screen ain’t half bad.

SypherPK loading screen

The PIT Island map will be sticking around until October 2. The SypherPK cosmetic set will likely remain in the Item Shop until that date as well.
