Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is currently discounted to $45 at Amazon. This is the lowest price we’ve seen since Three Hopes launched a few months ago. If you haven’t checked out the original Fire Emblem Warriors, you can pick it up for only $28 at Amazon.

It earned a 7/10 in our Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes review thanks to its great character development and fun action combat. A demo is available on the eShop if you’re interested in testing out the game before buying a copy.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes builds on the foundation laid by the original from 2017. There’s a big difference this time around, however, as you’ll see more than a few familiar faces from the critically acclaimed Fire Emblem: Three Houses, including Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude. Aside from the usual Musuo action, which has you facing off against hundreds of foes in large-scale battles, you’ll also be able to give commands to your army as you work to gain the upper hand.

Hardcore fighting game fans will be the first to tell you that the purest way to experience the genre of one-on-one combat is with an arcade-inspired fight stick. There’s a good reason for that, as the majority of modern fighting games still have gameplay mechanics within them that are inherited from the days when titles such as Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Killer Instinct ruled the arcades.

There’s something that’s undeniably satisfying about having a peripheral that contains a large joystick, massive face buttons, and space to store a few quarters on so that you call dibs on the next turn. Modern fight sticks also look great and boast a degree of officially endorsed customization that can make them perform even better in the competitive scene.

We’ve had a look at what the market has to offer in this space, so if you’re looking to add some retro flavor to your gaming setup, these fight sticks will have you ready to rumble in no time. With a number of arcade classics also available on various platforms these days, you can even extra use out of these fight sticks when you dip into your classic library of games. Our list of the best fight sticks is in no particular order, but you’ll find budget and high-end options here.

Mayflash F300

Mayflash F300

A good tournament-grade fight stick can be an expensive investment, and if you’re not sure if you’d prefer one of these over a regular controller D-pad, then an affordable option for testing the fisticuffs waters is a must. The Mayflash F300 has an attractive price and it’s compatible with a wide variety of systems. It has a solid design, you can plug it into your PC, several generations of Xbox and PlayStation, a Nintendo Switch, and select Android devices. If you’re looking for an old-school experience, you can even use this on a Sega Genesis console or the NeoGeo Mini.

Mayflash F300 Elite

Mayflash F300 Elite

Once you’ve dipped your thumbs into fight stick waters and the bug has bitten you, the next step up is a more premium controller. The Mayflash F300 Elite retains all of the compatibility of the model listed above, plus it adds a more premium feel with a collection of high quality SANWA inputs. It also has added turbo functions with different speed settings, exchangeable D-pad and X/Y analog stick components, and a metal panel to add some reassuring heft to its build quality.

Mayflash F500

Mayflash F500

It might look like it was ripped from the dashboard of the Knight Rider car, but the F500 is another dependable and customizable fight stick from Mayflash. It’s once again compatible with a wide range of PCs and consoles, supports a vibration function, and includes several turbo options in its sleek red and black design. The big difference here is that it also supports headsets on PS4 and Xbox One for added chat functionality.

Mayflash F500 Elite

Mayflash F500 Elite

Taking everything that the F500 has to offer, the Elite version of that Fight Stick improves on it with premium quality Sanwa components. Everything else here is mostly the same, from system compatibility to headset support, but the F500 Elite has also been designed to be tinkered with by arcade enthusiasts. It’s easy to open up, mod, and swap out parts to create a fight stick that suits your preferences.

Hori Fight Stick

Hori Fight Stick

If you’re looking to turn your Switch into a little arcade unit, then the compact Hori Fight Stick gets the job done on a budget. It’s affordable, has a lightweight design, and plenty of buttons so that you can use it for other Switch games as well. It’s got a classic arcade layout, but if you’re the type of gamer who enjoys grabbing gameplay footage, it also has a dedicated button for captures.

Hori Fight Stick Alpha

Hori Fight Stick Alpha

On the Xbox side of arcade gaming, the Fight Stick Alpha from Hori is an attractive option. It’s loaded with quality parts, a Hayabusa-produced joystick, and up to four custom profiles that can be switched between on the fly. It also has audio controls, headset support, and it’s easy to maintain with its design.

Mad Catz Ego Fight Stick

Mad Catz Ego

This big fight stick from Mad Catz is designed to faithfully replicate an arcade setup with its sheer size and components. Internally, it has tournament-grade Sanwa components, eight customizable action buttons, a turbo switch, and multi-button functionality that can be programmed in. It’s made to be durable, and has a metal frame, wide base, and non-slip foam.

8Bitdo Arcade Stick

8Bitdo arcade stick

8BitDo has earned a reputation for its controllers that combine classic style with modern conveniences, and its arcade fight stick is another prime example of its design philosophy. Besides its delightful retro aesthetics, this peripheral also has wireless Bluetooth support, a dynamic button layout, and a strong battery life. The big draw here though is its ultra-moddable design that allows the fight stick to be customized physically and digitally through 8BitDo’s software.

Qanba Drone Joystick

Qanba Drone

It might be an older model, but the Qanba Drone still has an eye-catching design and reliable features. For those gamers who don’t mind playing their favorite arcade games on older PlayStation consoles–or PC–this entry-level fight stick gets the job done with sturdy materials, capable buttons, and a solid joystick.

Qanba Dragon Joystick

Qanba Dragon

For another head-turning design from Qanba, the Dragon is a hardcore offering that’s crammed with quality parts. The design alone is attractive, but throw in Sanwa Denshi buttons, support for Sony games with dedicated switches, and a top panel that you can swap new parts into easily, and this legacy device still has plenty of charm.

Dragon Slay fight stick

Dragon Slay fight stick

With a wide variety of platforms that it can be used on and a faceplate that goes heavy on the dragon theme, this fight stick is no slouch. For the price, it includes Sanwa Denshi parts, a built-in storage compartment, and a vintage arcade layout.

Victrix Pro

Victrix Pro

The most expensive option on this list, the Victrix Pro looks elegant, features premium Sanwa Denshi parts, and an absurd amount of customization. What makes this arcade controller stand out though is that it was designed to deliver the fastest (legal) response time on console, for that added edge in competitive gaming spaces.

Hit Box

Hit Box

This list focuses on fight sticks, but we’d be remiss not to include the inventive fight stick that doesn’t actually have a joystick. Dubbed Hit Box, this controller has an all-button design with a deliberate layout that makes it easy to play fighting games without even using a stick or D-pad. Have you ever thought you moved the joystick up but the game registered the input as right? Yes, all of us have done that. The Hit Box remedies that. It’s all about accuracy, and it’s also faster to press buttons than it is to move a joystick. Joysticks are fun to use, so you are losing that classic feel with a Hit Box, but this controller is great for both beginners and fighting game pros. It made a splash at EVO 2022 and is currently sold out (unfortunately).

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, you will need to grow crops and forage for food as part of your journey to save the Valley. Once you have gathered a variety of different ingredients, you will likely want to try your hand at cooking. Cooking can make your crops worth more to sell or can be gifted to the Disney characters around the Valley to improve your friendship. Here’s how cooking works in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How cooking works in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Early in the game, you will be introduced to the concept of recipe books, which will teach you how to make a single dish. While this happens infrequently throughout the game, you can also learn how to cook new recipes by just trying things. If you put the correct ingredients in the pot, you will create a new dish and unlock that recipe in the collection. That means as long as you know what ingredients are needed and have them, you can make any dish in the game.

Recipes in Disney Dreamlight Valley will require one of two things. The recipe will either require you to have the exact ingredients listed. For example, Creamy Garlic Scallops require Scallops, Garlic, Lemon, and Butter. Other recipes will require any ingredient from a certain category. For example, Fish Steak requires Tomato, Basil, and any fish. It could be Cod, Salmon, or Tuna, it doesn’t matter, as long as it’s in that category.

All Disney Dreamlight Valley recipes

This guide is a work in progress and will be updated as more recipes are discovered.

The new NFL season begins tomorrow, September 8, and to capitalize on the hype, EA Sports is hosting a free weekend for the newest entry in the series, Madden NFL 23. Additionally, the publisher announced new statistics that seem to show the new game is performing better than last year’s, at least so far.

To celebrate the start of the new NFL season, EA making Madden NFL 23 free for everyone from September 8-11. Additionally, the Madden NFL 23 All Madden Edition will be marked down by 25%.

As for the new stats, EA announced that Madden NFL 23 saw a 30% increase in total games played during launch week compared to Madden NFL 22. EA did not, however, announce a hard sales number for Madden NFL 23–but that’s no surprise given EA–and other publishers these days–tend to shy away from hard sales data in favor of vague statistics.

Still, Madden NFL 23 seems to be a solid entry for EA worthy of some celebration. The game isn’t perfect, but reviews are at least praising the on-field gameplay for being the best in years.

EA also confirmed that the Buffalo Bills saw a 115% increase in usage compared to Madden NFL 22 so far, which makes them the most popular team in Madden NFL 23 so far. Players who didn’t choose to play as the Bills still wanted to play against them, it seems, as the Bills showed up in all five of Madden NFL 23’s most-played matchups thus far against the Rams, Chargers, Bucs, Dolphins, and Cowboys, EA said.

Josh Allen, the QB of the Bills, is Madden NFL 23’s most-decorated QB so far with the most passing yards and touchdowns of any QB in the game. Bills receiver Stefon Diggs is Madden NFL 23’s best performing receiver so far, while Von Miller–who was traded to the Bills this offseason–has the most sacks so far in Madden NFL 23. Another standout player so far in Madden NFL 23 has been Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White, who has the most interceptions in the game.

Finally, EA announced that a new update for Madden NFL 23 is coming this week that has “fresh gameplay improvements,” though they were not detailed. The update also adds new music, including the song “Checkmate” by Cordae and Hit-Boy.

CD Projekt Red has officially unveiled Cyberpunk 2077’s expansion Phantom Liberty, but it doesn’t look like any more are planned for the future.

As reported by XGP (via VGC) in the YouTube comment section under the Phantom Liberty trailer, the official Cyberpunk 2077 account responded to a fan comment and went on to state that no additional expansions will be released after Phantom Liberty. “Glad to hear we sparked your interest,” the reply reads. “As for the future, Phantom Liberty is the only planned expansion for Cyberpunk 2077.”

Phantom Liberty, which will be a paid DLC, was revealed during the latest Night City Wire livestream yesterday and will feature the return of Keanu Reeves’ Johnny Silverhand. Described as a “spy-thriller,” the expansion will introduce a new cast of characters and will allow players to explore new districts of Night City.

Phantom Liberty is set to release in 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Stadia. However, CD Projekt Red has confirmed it won’t be launching on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One as the developer will be ending new content updates for the platforms.

Patch 1.6, dubbed the Edgerunners update, also launched yesterday for all platforms and featured a host of new features, including transmogs, new cyberware, and the ability to include Nibbles the cat in the photo mode.

This week’s Fire with Fire Week in Fortnite is turning up the heat with a focus on fire-based items. From September 7 at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET until September 13 at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET, you can get your hands on plenty of ways to set fire to the competition, including an increased spawn rate for Firefly Jars and two unvaulted weapons–the Primal Flame Bow and Dragon’s Breath Shotgun. Keep reading to find out where to find these returning death dealers this week.

Where to find the Primal Flame Bow and how it works

You can find the Primal Flame Bow on the ground or from chests. It comes in Epic (68 DPS) and Legendary (72 DPS) types and uses arrows as ammo, which you can find on the ground and from chests as well. Aiming the bow lets you see the arrow’s trajectory, making it exceptionally accurate in the right hands. You can charge up your shot to launch a fast-moving flame arrow that will set fire to flammable structures like wooden walls and trees, which should prove useful for getting folks out of houses or outdoor cover like trees and bushes.

Where to find the Dragon’s Breath Shotgun and how it works

You can find the Dragon’s Breath Shotgun on the ground or from chests. It comes in Epic (158 DPS) and Legendary (165 DPS) varieties and uses normal shotgun shells. Its magazine can hold 4 shells at a time and reloads at just over 4 seconds for both. It’s a single-shot weapon, so lining up shots is pivotal to your success with it, and considering that its hip-fire spread is pretty wide, it’s not a bad idea to aim down the sights for massive damage–especially with headshots. As with the Primal Flame Bow, this shotgun can ignite anything flammable, so it’s fun to use to flush folks out of a house and then greet them outside with a blast to the face.

While all eyes are on the impending launch of AMD’s new Ryzen 7000 desktop processors, the chipmaker also has its wheels in motion for the future of its mobile product lineup. And while we’re still quite a bit away from the first Zen 4 mobile parts, more immediate on AMD’s roadmap is their Zen 2-based Mendocino SoC, which is aimed at mainstream laptops. Mendocino APUs are set to launch next quarter, and to prepare for that launch, AMD today is updating their mobile processor numbering scheme to accommodate those future products.

The short version of matters is that while the new numbering system is quite similar to AMD’s previous system (e.g. Ryzen Mobile 6000), the company is now dedicating a digit to represent the version of the Zen architecture used. With AMD set to have Zen 2 (Mendocino), Zen 3 (Rembrandt), and eventually Zen 4 (Phoenix) mobile APUs all on the market at the same time, AMD has decided that they need to better disclose the architecture used underneath – a “necessary evil”, as former AnandTech CPU editor Dr. Ian Cutress put it, to avoid any improprieties (perceived or otherwise) that AMD is misleading customers by offering multiple versions of the Zen architecture.

The release date for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 5 has reportedly been confirmed ahead of the launch of Chapter 3 Season 4.

According to journalist Tom Henderson, who is known for reliable insider information, Chapter 3 Season 5 will begin on December 5. The leaked release date was shared on Twitter today but no further information was revealed that could lead fans to theorize about its theme.

— Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) September 7, 2022

Epic Games has yet to announce the official release date for Season 5 and is currently gearing up to release Chapter 3, Season 4. The new content drop is expected to launch on September 18, one day after the presumed end of Season 3.

Recent leaks suggest that Spider-Gwen will be joining Fortnite in Season 4’s battle pass, while Miles Morales will also be available in the Fortnite Item Shop during the same season. Additional rumors and theories, accompanied by the frequent leaks, indicate that Season 4 will be entirely Marvel-themed since Epic and Marvel have a multi-year deal in place.

It’s impossible to escape Fortnite leaks and another recent one claimed that Lady Gaga would be collaborating with Epic to bring an in-game concert to the battle royale. Like previous events featuring Ariana Grande and Travis Scott, the Lady Gaga collab would also feature exclusive emotes and skins to celebrate. The Epic vs. Apple court case actually mentioned Gaga by name, so the leak isn’t too surprising.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is a Disney-themed take on the farming and life sim genre. While currently in early access, the game is going to be free-to-play once it hits its full release, which developer GameLoft said is coming in 2023. That means, like many other free-to-play games, it has its own version of a battle pass, giving players a list of challenges to complete in exchange for some premium rewards.

How the Pixar Fest Star Path works

The Star Path challenges are similar to the Dreamlight Duties, but typically require you to to do the task many more times.

The first of these Star Paths is the Pixar Fest Star Path, which features a variety of Pixar-related clothes and furniture for you to unlock, like an Incredibles suit or a Lighting McQueen racecar bed. In order to unlock these items you will need to use Pixar tokens, which can be earned by completing a series of random challenges.

The challenges are similar to the Dreamlight Duties that you can complete in the game, giving you random tasks. The free track gives you three tasks to complete at a time, six if you purchase the premium track for 800 Moonstone, the premium currency. These tasks are random, but typically require you to do a single action a large amount of times. This could be cooking 25 meals with fruit or harvesting 100 of a certain crop. Each task awards between 15 and 25 Pixar Tokens. The challenges cannot be rerolled, so if you feel like you are stuck or not advancing, you will need to focus on clearing out the tasks given to you.

There are five pages of items to unlock, with seven items on each page. Each item can cost between 5 and 40 Pixar Tokens to unlock. After the first five pages are complete, there is one additional unlock which awards the player additional Moonstones.
