Look, I’m aware that the phrase “indie RPG set in early modern Hungary” sounds almost excruciatingly arch and high-falutin’, but for your own sake, don’t touch that dial—Felvidek has the juice. I was already excited for this singular-looking JRPG-style project, but after making my way through its ~45-minute demo, I’m here to say it’s a must-play.

Felvidek centers on Pavol, a grinning, heartbroken buffoon of a knight tasked with investigating the arson of a nearby castle in the Slovak Highlands of the 15th century. Amid violence between Catholics, the proto-Protestant Hussites, and Ottoman Turks, something uncanny and supernatural seems to be unfolding that involves Pavol’s estranged wife.

All the help you need to win today’s Wordle is waiting below. Give your own guesses a nudge in the right direction with a fresh clue just for today’s game, or skip to the win with the answer to the March 10 (995) puzzle. However you play, we can help.

A solid block of three greens became something of a sticking point today, the Wordle answer clearly within reach but refusing to come to mind. Knowing some letters just couldn’t work with the combination I had in front of me wasn’t as helpful as it could have been, because if it wasn’t those, then what the heck was it? A quick break and a fresh angle helped a lot with this one.

Souls series dataminer Sekiro Dubi recently found evidence of an alternate starting location in Elden Ring. After your “supposed to lose” fight with a Grafted Scion in the Chapel of Anticipation, you would have washed ashore on a beach in Limgrave instead of waking up underground.

It’s a starting sequence FromSoft has delighted in over the years: hang out in a funky area, get stomped by a boss, return to said boss and funky area after 15+ hours of gameplay. After the Grafted Scion teaches you a lesson in humility (or you beat it like a pro and die anyway), Elden Ring sees you waking up in its tutorial dungeon, the Stranded Graveyard.

In some ways, today’s puzzle was a pretty simple game: I kept finding the letters I needed, and it didn’t take too long for them to fall into place. In hindsight though it’s almost funny how many times I nearly typed in today’s answer—looking back at my guesses it’s almost as if I was deliberately dodging it, just for fun.

Heading into Chasing the Unseen, I was expecting Shadow of the Colossus, but without the sword. What I got instead was a delightfully weird, mindful little experience about climbing—and after spending most of my time this week shooting bugs for Super Earth and desperately trying to learn tabletop rules for my gaming group, it’s just what I needed.

You play a teeny-tiny monk exploring a surreal network of floating islands. You’ve got a glider, a Breath-of-the-Wild style climbing button, and a jump—that’s it. It’s a completely stripped-back experience filled with eerie music, and while its beasties are a touch unsettling at first glance, Chasing the Unseen isn’t really trying to scare you.

Its big, sprawling levels are difficult to navigate and a touch frustrating at times, but it’s worth getting over that initial hump. For a game about climbing, scaleable surfaces are actually pretty rare—instead, you’re meant to shuffle your way through awkward, winding routes, navigating on precarious ledges while the world yawns away beneath you. It’ll have you asking: “I can probably survive that fall, right?” a lot.

I found myself enjoyably stuck after a few guesses today. Wordle made me deal with a bunch of misbehaving yellow letters for a few rows, each new reveal teasing the answer in a different way but not quite getting there. Not until one of them turned green, that is—the one solid clue I needed to pounce on today’s winning word.

At a time when mass layoffs are rampant in the games industry, one company is talking about raises. Capcom announced to investors this week that it’s increasing its base starting salary for new hires in Japan, and giving current employees a raise of “over 5% on average” this year.

It’s a moderate cost-of-living bump that might not have been notable if so many gaming companies weren’t aggressively cutting costs right now.
