On October 10 2007 Valve released what is perhaps the greatest deal in gaming history: The Orange Box, a compendium of Half-Life 2 with both episodes, the long-awaited Team Fortress 2, and the unknown quantity Portal. OK, Half-Life 2 was a few years old by this point (Episode 2 was new), but every single game in that package is an all-timer, and you got the lot for the price of one retail game.

And at the time, retail still mattered to Valve: Steam was a few years old, but boxed sales were the focus for The Orange Box at launch. Which naturally made the box itself a very important part of the whole deal and… well, this is the one aspect on which The Orange Box fell flat. The final product was a weird tripartite presentation of all three games, which have distinct aesthetics, and a bunch of text telling you what was in the box.

Give your daily Wordle puzzling solving a new angle with our general tips. Today’s clue is bound to help if you need something a little more specific but still want to win today’s game yourself, and as always, the answer to the November 26 (1256) Wordle is just one click away if you need it.

I had so many brilliant ideas as I worked my way through today’s game—it’s just a shame most of them were completely wrong. Nothing seemed to work, no yellow letter wanted to turn green, no obvious answer leapt out at me. I won this one mostly because I’d run out of alphabet. Don’t fall into the same trap—take a look at today’s clue if you need a hand.

Guy Beahm, the streamer better known as Dr Disrespect, has joined the right-wing streaming platform Rumble, not just as a streamer but also as lead of Rumble Gaming—not esports talent agency of the same name, which is unrelated, but the platform’s gaming-focused livestream category.

“As part of an agreement that includes equity with milestones as a majority of its compensation, Dr Disrespect will provide exclusive content to Rumble Premium for his ‘Champions Club’ community,” Rumble said. “Dr Disrespect will also lead Rumble Gaming, acting as an advisor and helping to build the Rumble Gaming community.”

All the Wordle help you need to breeze through the November 25 (1255) game is right here. Get Monday’s puzzle off to the best possible start with a fresh clue, or use it a little later on to turn those yellow letters into winning greens. Need more? Then a quick click through to today’s answer should soon see this Wordle won.

A tricky start full of grey letters turned out to be a huge help today, completely blocking off a whole host of potential words and funneling me towards today’s answer. I would’ve liked to reach it a row or two earlier than I did (I had a bit of a wobble towards the end), but all things considered that wasn’t a terrible game.

On an average day about a dozen new games are released on Steam. And while we think that’s a good thing, it can be understandably hard to keep up with. Potentially exciting gems are sure to be lost in the deluge of new things to play unless you sort through every single game that is released on Steam. So that’s exactly what we’ve done. If nothing catches your fancy this week, we’ve gathered the best PC games you can play right now and a running list of the 2024 games that are launching this year.

Let’s be honest here—the fantasy 4X strategy genre is an intimidating one. Not just for that initial learning curve, but for the potentially immense time commitment. You could put hundreds of hours into Total War: Warhammer 3 and still see only a fraction of its campaigns. Songs of Silence from German indie outfit Chimera Entertainment feels custom built for people who want to get a good, concentrated taste of the genre but without losing months of your life, and without demolishing your budget either. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that it looks and sounds lovely.

At heart, this is familiar high fantasy strategy in the vein of Heroes of Might & Magic or Age Of Wonders. Turn by turn, you order a handful of heroes and their personal armies around the map, looting and leveling up in battles against roaming neutral monsters and bandits, conquering towns, expanding territory and building up your armies to clash against human or AI-controlled rival kingdoms. Last king (or cosmic horror) standing wins.

Where it differs is in its pacing and scale. The story campaign (a compelling enough tale of a war between primordial and celestial gods in a bifurcated world, with an all-consuming third force of cultists and abyssal demons ruining things for everyone) is a focused eight scenarios, clocking in around a breezy 15 hours total and introducing all of the game’s core mechanics, but pulling fewer punches than you’d think difficulty-wise. A good warm-up for the meat of the game; skirmish and multiplayer battles on randomly generated maps.

How you win today’s Wordle is up to you, but whatever you have in mind, we can definitely help you get there. If that’s as simple as giving you the answer to the November 24 (1254) game then we’ve got just what you need, or if you’d rather take a little time and come back to today’s clue when you’re ready, then we can sort that out too.

I had to stop for a minute today and take a good long look at my keyboard, because something wasn’t adding up. If I had those letters there, and that usually helpful letter had turned grey, then what was I left with? I got there in the end, but today’s game definitely made me work for the answer.

First reported by DSOGaming, the Project Mojave Revitalization team is calling it quits after its first (and last) release. PMR was a continuation of the ambitious Project Mojave mod to bring areas from New Vegas into Fallout 4, with the original PM devs themselves having hung up their spurs after an early access release in 2021.

Project Mojave is not to be confused with Fallout 4: New Vegas, a project aiming to do a 1:1 remake of the 2010 Obsidian classic in Fallout 4’s shinier, upgraded Creation engine. The idea with Project Mojave was to present New Vegas during the time period of Fallout 4 and after the end of FNV—a tall order given how many different endings that game had, but PM seems predicated on an NCR victory. Project Mojave itself saw no further updates after November 2021, and the PMR dev team led by WolfeMan2077 implemented its continuation as a separate project requiring installation of the base Project Mojave.
