Wam, bam, clonk, clonk, bonk. That’s the sound of a Captain America main barging straight past Magneto to smack around the backline supports with two full servings of manifest destiny. I love Marvel Rivals’ rendition of Cap as the load-bearing pillar of his team—a mobile, aggressive dive tank who weaves defense into his offense and disrupts the other team’s equilibrium. He’s an exceptionally fun tank archetype in a game full of fun tanks, but there’s one aspect of his kit that’s bugged me to no end these last few months: Why can’t Cap hold up his shield while he jumps?

I clearly wasn’t the only one asking, because in a Marvel Rivals patch dropping on February 21, the ability to shield while leaping is the headliner of a handful of Captain America buffs:

  • He will be able to shield himself with Living Legend mid-leap
  • Increase Vibranium Energy Saw’s projectile speed from 60m/s to 80m/s, with ricochets ramping up from 100m/s to a supercharged 150m/s
  • Reduce the energy cost of Freedom Charge (ultimate ability) from 3100 to 2800
  • Enhance Captain America’s combat experience by separating Sentinel Strike from melee attacks. Captain America will be able to use melee attacks while his shield is thrown or during the Team-Up Ability Charged Aegis state to activate the first two hits of Sentinel Strike. Additionally, while airborne, using melee attacks will no longer trigger the Super-Soldier Slam ability.

Just last year, Secretlab put out a Monster Hunter 20th anniversary edition set of Titan Evo chairs for the legendary action game, and to celebrate the upcoming launch of Monster Hunter Wilds, one more is on the way. Luckily, it’s the nicest of the three.

The Arkveld edition of the Secretlab Titan Evo is available to buy right now for $624 and is inspired by Arkveld from the game, a large white extinct monster which is all scary looks and claws. Luckily, the chair is not. With flecks of white, grey, and blue, the Arkveld edition is very clean-looking, with a small logo of the Arkveld on the front and a more menacing interpretation of Arkveld on the back.

Turn frustrating grey letters into a perfect row of greens in an instant with the answer to today’s Wordle, or sit back and enjoy spending a little more time with Wednesday’s game—our hint for the February 19 (1341) is always there to help if you need it. No matter how it’s going, now you’re here you’ve definitely got this.

Never in the history of Wordle has someone made as spectacular a mess of their game as I did today. My opening row wasn’t even all that bad, but I somehow just took those clues and then spent the rest of the board completely missing the insights they could have given me. I did eventually see sense, but mostly because there were no other letters left for me to try.

NetEase has released a new dev update for Marvel Rivals, and it’s good news for the grind. The free-to-play hero shooter currently has three different currencies: Chrono tokens, gold lattice, and blue units. Chrono tokens are a battlepass-exclusive currency earned as you progress and can be used to buy skins and various other cosmetics on that battle pass. For months players have complained that, once the battle pass is complete, you just earn more Chrono tokens but have nothing to spend them on.

To add insult to injury, when Marvel Rivals rolled-over from season 0 to season 1, all the excess Chrono tokens players had gathered were reset. No more, says Marvel Rivals’ creative director Guangyun Chen. “We’ve heard your feedback about excess Chrono Tokens and how frustrating it can be when they don’t carry over. So we’re excited to announce a brand-new redemption system.”

Nintendo’s suing of Palworld has, as one might imagine, set the internet on fire. Primarily because most people like a good underdog story, and also because Nintendo has built a reputation for being very, very litigious.

As such, cheers went up on the internet when it was uncovered by GamesFray that Nintendo’s patent claims, which primarily seem poised to target Palworld, had been rejected at a ratio of 22 to 23 in the US—which naturally made headlines since, on digital paper, this sounds like a big win. In practice? It’s apparently business as usual.
