Action-packed Strike Rush brings the hero shooter straight to your MetaQuest headset

Strike Rush VR

As new VR headsets push what the technology can do, we’re getting an increasing number of cool and immersive games to go along with it. Korean XR developer Skonec Entertainment has been hard at work making its mark in the VR space over nearly two decades, with standout railgun shooters like Operation Ghost and Mortal Blitz VR. Now Skonec is bringing a little hero shooter flair to VR with Strike Rush on the MetaQuest, which is out today on April 18.

Inspired by genre favorites like Overwatch and Valorant, Strike Rush is a team-based action shooter, bringing all the fun of a hero shooter right to your headset. Two teams of four will duke it out across a variety of maps, vying for control of a point. Amass enough points—by preventing your opponents from capturing or doing a lot of the capturing yourself within 10 minutes—and you’ll secure victory.

Skonec Entertainment has poured its wealth of VR shooter experience into Strike Rush, making it stand out among other hero shooters sitting in your library. Its philosophy is to make gunshooting fun, with some innovative weapons and combat ready to be utilized as a result. Not only that, but Strike Rush features distinct AI companions called Blitzmons, who add a whole other layer of strategy to the game. They can accompany players to points and aid in combat by attack, defending or either healing the team. You’ll even be able to share unique interactions with your Blitzmon, so try not to get too attached.
