Football’s world governing body FIFA has had its name on one of the best-selling videogames in the world for decades now. But that arrangement has come to an end, with Electronic Arts abandoning the license (opens in new tab), and in the aftermath one thing has become very clear: FIFA is absolutely clueless about videogames.

Last month came the announcement of a FIFA game in Roblox which, and I swear I’m not making this up, doesn’t have football but does have bowling (opens in new tab). Now comes a press release (opens in new tab) trumpeting four new titles, all of which are “future-focused web 3.0 games”, and all of which look like absolute rubbish.

The Sonic Frontiers ‘A Grave Mystery’ puzzle unlocks once you collect the three Chaos Gems on Kronos Island and find enough of Amy’s memories. A prompt will appear telling you to turn some tombstones in order to solve the island’s mystery and keep progressing through the game’s story—turns out, that’s what the weird graveyard in the centre of the island is for.

That said, it’s a little tricky to know which direction to turn the tombstones, especially as there are so many of them. In this A Grave Mystery puzzle guide, I’ll walk you through which tombs to mess with, as well as the correct order and direction in which to turn them. I’ve also got you covered if you’re struggling to figure out how Sonic Frontiers fast travel (opens in new tab) works.

Core Keeper (opens in new tab), the early access survival sandbox, just added a whole bunch of sand. The Desert of Beginnings update is its biggest yet, adding a new desert biome, a magma-themed sub-biome, lots of new craftable gear, two bosses, and best yet, a fun new way to get around in the world.

Oh, and there’s a new bazooka, and this one doesn’t shoot grubs. It shoots, like, actual explosives. That’s a big plus.

No matter how much or how little help you need with today’s Wordle, I’ve got just what you need right here. If you’re new to the game I can offer you some helpful advice and a quick starter guide or if you’re just a little stuck and searching for a handy clue you’ll find one just below. But if you’re looking for the answer to the November 10 (509) challenge as soon as possible then don’t worry, that’s here too.

An early disjointed set of greens turned out to be more of a hindrance than a help today, leaving me fitting guesses around them and not really getting any closer to the answer until there was just one go left, built using the only letters I hadn’t got around to trying.

Screen technology is always zooming ahead, with rival companies working to develop the newest and best panels. Whether we’re seeking deeper, darker blacks, higher resolutions, faster frame rates, there’s always something better to strive for in the world of displays. While reaching for the incremental stars is nice, what’s far more fun is the weirder displays.

Some weird screens seem a bit impractical like the new keyboard screen from Finalmouse (opens in new tab), but are still without a doubt very fun. Others like Corsair’s upcoming bendy screen (opens in new tab) make a tonne of sense. Being able to go from flat screen work to curved screen immersive gaming on the fly is a great idea, that might even be worth paying the price for.

Pimax is a brand known for making high-end VR headsets with massive fields of view (opens in new tab) and has just announced one of its most ambitious product releases yet. Usually Pimax sticks to VR headsets, but the new Pimax Portal (opens in new tab) seems to be some sort of portable Steam Deck (opens in new tab)-like machine, capable of AR, VR, and everything in between.

The Portal was shown off during Pimax’s Frontier 2022 presentation, and is being sold as the “world’s first metaverse entertainment system.” While many of us aren’t exactly sold on the metaverse (opens in new tab), the Portal does look like an interesting device. If it can achieve everything the company’s suggesting, it would certainly be a versatile gaming machine.

Neocore’s 2018 action-RPG Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr launched with options for your Imperial inquisitor to have a background as an assassin, psyker, or crusader—its equivalent of choosing your class. A year later, the Prophecy expandalone added a tech-adept as a fourth option. Neocore has continued updating what it would clearly like to be a live-service game with seasonal content, and has announced the Sororitas Class DLC (opens in new tab) will add a playable Sister of Battle to the roster this month.

The Battle Sister inquisitor has special abilities called Acts of Faith and can power-up into an Embodied Saint, getting access to Saintly Deeds and more powerful special attacks. She’ll have a resource called Fath to spend on those abilities, and when it runs out her time as an Embodied Saint will end.

In its Autumn update last month, Saints Row developer Volition explained it was prioritizing fixes over new content for its rebooted open-world mayhem game. Though there have been a few hotfixes since its August release, the first big update is due later in November. On its patch hub (opens in new tab), Volition has given some more details about exactly what’s in the November update, saying it “includes over 200 fixes and quality of life updates, so it’s a beast!”

“You should see more pedestrians and police,” Volition says, as well as “More Saints roaming completed districts”. That would be a definite improvement as Santo Ileso wasn’t exactly bustling at launch, and if there aren’t many people on the streets there’s less likely to be havoc when you barrel through in a stolen police car. On the subject of cars, there will be “Loads of new ways to manage your incredible fleet of vehicles, including more slots to use and 7 new garage locations”.

Studio Trigger’s anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (opens in new tab) seems to have revitalized a lot of people’s interest in Night City as a setting, with mods based on it taking over Cyberpunk 2077’s mod scene and now publisher R. Talsorian announcing a Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Mission Kit for the tabletop RPG.

R. Talsorian says the kit will be “Made in conjunction with CD PROJEKT RED using the Cyberpunk RED tabletop roleplaying game engine”. It sounds like the kind of introductory set aimed at players who are new to the pen-and-paper RPG, like the Cyberpunk Red Jumpstart Kit was. “The Cyberpunk Edgerunners Mission Kit will guide fans of the series new to tabletop roleplaying through the process of telling their own stories in Night City”, the announcement says. “At the same time, existing players of Cyberpunk RED will get their first glimpse into the cyberware, firepower, and netrunning skills of the 2077 era.”

In an interview with Swedish website Privata Affärer (opens in new tab) earlier this month, Paradox Interactive CEO Fredrik Wester (who is also the company’s resident Great Old One according to his Twitter bio (opens in new tab)) was asked about the status of the much-delayed Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. Via Google Translate, he said that the company “will probably be able to set a launch date for this game reasonably soon” and called a 2023 launch “absolutely not impossible”.

When it was first announced, the Hardsuit Labs-developed vampire RPG had a release date of March 2020. We were excited for Bloodlines 2 when it was revealed, but a year later lead writer Brian Mitsoda and creative director Ka’ai Cluney had been fired, and senior narrative designer Cara Ellison left too, after which its release was delayed indefinitely.
